About This Place

The Crisp Cannoli - Bakery & Cafe, nestled in the heart of East Greenbush, NY, is much more than your average neighborhood cafe. This charming spot effortlessly blends the warmth of a New York-style coffeehouse with the vibrant buzz of a bustling bakery, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons both locals and visitors alike. Whether you're stopping by for a quick morning espresso or settling in for a leisurely brunch, The Crisp Cannoli promises an experience that delights all your senses.

At the core of their menu are beautifully crafted paninis that balance hearty flavors and fresh ingredients with a satisfying crunch. The Ham & Cheese panini, featuring house-cooked ham and your choice of cheese melted inside Italian bread, comes complete with chips, a crisp pickle, and a creamy mac salad—a perfect harmony of textures and tastes. For those looking for something a bit different, the Chicken Salad Melt is a standout, with its blend of almonds, dried cranberries, and onions folded into chicken salad, topped with cheddar on Italian bread, offering a wonderful medley of sweet, savory, and nutty notes that linger delightfully.

Families will appreciate the thoughtfully designed kids’ menu, offering comforting favorites like Grilled Cheese, Mac & Cheese, Chicken Tenders, and simple ham or turkey and cheese sandwiches, all priced accessibly and portioned just right for younger appetites.

The bakery’s pièce de résistance is undoubtedly their signature cannoli—especially the Dubai Cannoli, which one delighted customer described as “so damn good,” highlighting a perfect balance of creamy filling wrapped in a crisp shell that embodies the very essence of indulgence. Pastries such as croissant doughnuts and French crullers similarly earn high praise for their flaky, tender textures and impeccably balanced sweetness. On International Donut Day, the donuts impressed many, though a few noted a slight chewiness to the texture, while the cinnamon roll, after a second visit, was reported to be much fresher and wonderfully soft—a testament to The Crisp Cannoli’s commitment to customer feedback and quality.

The cafe’s beverage program stands out too, with expertly crafted lattes and a rich, flavorful chai latte that warms you from the inside out. The latte, described as “perfect” by patrons, complements the sweet and savory menu beautifully, making each sip and bite a harmonious experience.

Beyond the food, The Crisp Cannoli charms visitors with its spacious interior that pleasantly surprises given the modest exterior, offering a lively but manageable noise level that encourages conversation without overwhelming. The bakery cases brim with fresh, colorful treats, though some guests mention the display height could be more accessible to enhance the ordering experience. While the service is generally warm and efficient, a few visitors have noticed room for more engaging and enthusiastic greetings at the counter, hinting at the potential for The Crisp Cannoli to become not just a cafe, but a community hub.

All in all, The Crisp Cannoli is a gem worth exploring for those in East Greenbush craving authentic, fresh bakery delights and café staples served with a mix of New York flair and local charm. Whether you’re after a flaky donut, a savory panini, or a comforting chai latte, this spot will leave you eager to return and indulge again.

Went here years ago when they had their first location across from My Place and was not impressed at all. This time everything was amazing. The Dubai Cannoli was so damn good! The breakfast bagel sandwich was real good. Should have 2 more pieces of bacon. Not sure about the bagel. Wasn't sure if it was commercial or locally made. The blueberry cake donut was also good. The lattes were perfect and they have specialty and seasonal flavors. Definitely will return.

Went on international donut day, donuts were good but a bit of chewy texture. Only thing that was disappointing was the cinnamon roll, it was dry and hard. (Edit) So I came back after the owner asked that I retry the cinnamon roll, the 2nd time it was definitely better and fresher but maybe I just prefer a thicker roll but wasn't dry. The fudge fancy was decent but on the smaller side compared to other local bakeries. The Lobster tail wasn't bad just have never had a custard filled so it has a different taste and it's very crispy. The Maple Cream Bacon Cronut was amazing and made the trip worth it. 3rd trip - Crodo still on top, blueberry Cake was better than the first time I had it. I came to try the apple fritter and was disappointed, it was more like a donut with chopped apples on top and glazed. Was very fresh, just needed to be mixed better with apples all throughout. The cannoli was good, was filled when I ordered.

Immediately loved the place. Its like a New York coffeehouse, bakery and café had a baby and named it the Crisp Cannoli. Everything looked good and fresh. I went to a party that had their cupcakes and next day I was there like air. My only observation the bakery cases are too high, making ordering a bit challenging. I also did care for the cashier at the point of sales. Her service was lackluster. We ordered two boxes and a to go sandwich and yet we had to ask for a bag BUT it may be a new York thing. The pastries were delicious. Stand out favorite was the apple caramel pop tart. Yes, I will be back when I visit again and I do recommend. Parking is ample and so is seating. It does seem to get busy and they do close mid afternoon. I heard the owner prefer people not tip his staff bc he states he pays ample wages but suggests guests donate to the charity box where he then donates accordingly. That is a W in our tip heavy society. I really like that if correct and I wish more owners followed suit!

Yum! I love this place! They have in cafe dining, delivery, curbside pick up, and traditional in cafe pick up. I have tried the croissant doughnut, the French crullers and the ginettes and all have been amazing! Highly recommend!

The menu is extensive, the pastry displays are impressive but the inside his so much bigger than it looks from the outside. The noise level is a bit high but you can still have a conversation without having to yell. Get the donuts, even if you don’t want to eat it there get them to go!!

Man, I started to come back at first for the delicious food and phenomenal baked treats and desserts, but now I honestly keep coming back for the service. These people take such good care of you, it's incredible. Everyone is kind and sweet and helpful and its a beautiful place to go and enjoy great food either alone or with company. Worth going out of your way for.
